Hailing from StartupBus East Coast, team Deliverish is helping people maximize their lives by offering a friendly and flexible peer-to-peer delivery service that connects people who have time with those who don’t. With Deliverish, you can get stuff done when you’re busy or make some money delivering when you’re not.
Pitched by tech journalist Erica Swallow, this idea was inspired by the ever-growing collaborative consumption space, where people are sharing goods, services, and even intangibles — like time — to live better lives.
So, who’s the team behind this innovative mobile app? Allow us to introduce ourselves in the order we joined the team!
Erica Swallow is our master strategist, bringing the PR, communications, and biz dev heat. She can’t wait to use Deliverish to help her deliver spare keys to her visiting friends, family and Airbnb guests, so that she can finally have time to take ballroom dance classes again.
Wicky Mendoza is our well-spoken and detail-loving UX/UI designer, tasked with making the Deliverish experience as seamless and satsifying as can be. She’s excited to use Deliverish to pick up all of the UPS packages she’s missed while away, because it’s just so ludicrous how inconvenient mail can be!
Allen Lafuente is our genius designer. He’s in charge of making us look cool. And, yes, he’s the brilliant mind behind our logo. Allen is a big music fan and imagines using Deliverish to have locals bring him vinyls from his favorite indy record stores, so that he doesn’t have to lug them on the subway and can enjoy listening instead.
Gandalf Hernandez is our back-end warrior, focusing on building the infrastructure that brings our buyers and sellers together. He wants to use Deliverish to find someone who is already going to Trader Joe’s to pick up his trail mix for him, so that he can escape the long lines and ride his bike instead.
Rui Da Costa is our front-end wizard, tasked with the beautiful job of, as he describes it, “taking Gandalf’s ‘data’ and making it look good.” Rui is a fierce ultimate frisbee player and looks forward to the first time he can use Deliverish to have his victory chalice delivered to the field, so that he can focus on his game.
Our motto is simple: We deliver anything, anywhere, anytime. That’s us. We’re Deliverish.
